Who we are

Kontrol is an AI agent for construction businesses that runs in WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, email or Google Chat. This policy covers the kontrol.chat website and our waitlist. If you have any questions, email [email protected] and a human will get back to you.

What we collect

When you book a walk-through we collect your name, email address and, if you give it, your mobile number, along with which page and which ad or link brought you here. We also collect the basic technical information any website receives, like pages visited, IP address, browser details and rough location, to keep the site working properly.

Why we collect it

We use your details to let you know about early access, the launch, and important product updates. We will never sell your personal information to anyone.

Advertising and analytics

We use the Meta pixel and the Meta Conversions API so we can see which ads bring construction businesses to Kontrol and so Meta can show our ads to the right people. When you visit, Meta receives the pages you view, your IP address, your browser details and any Meta click ids in the address. When you join the waitlist, we also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) version of your email and mobile, never the plain text. You can opt out of ads personalisation in your Meta ad settings at any time. We also keep a small first-party cookie (kontrol_attr, 30 days) that remembers which ad or link brought you here, so we know what is working.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.

Where it lives

Your details are stored with the service providers we use to run the site, keep our contact list, notify our team of new enquiries and measure our advertising (Cloudflare, Beehiiv, Meta and our team messaging and email tools). Some of those providers store data on servers outside Australia. We only share what's needed to deliver the services above, and we keep your details until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

You can opt out of messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or emailing [email protected].

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll sort it.

The formal bit

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top.
